Visit the Membership Dashboard and click the “Add / Update Your Provider Directory Listing”. Fill out all of the fields and click submit. Your listing will be added or updated within 7 business days.
How do I list my business' events in the event directory?
Visit the Membership Dashboard and click the “Add / Update an Event Directory Listing”. Fill out all of the fields and click submit. Your listing will be added or updated within 7 business days.
How do I list a club or group in the directory?
Visit the Membership Dashboard and click the “Add / Update a Club or Group Directory Listing”. Fill out all of the fields and click submit. Your listing will be added or updated within 7 business days.
Can I add a provider, event, or club/group listing for someone else?
No, you can only submit listings for your own business, but please invite any holistic, wellness, or spiritual provider in Iowa that you know to join us!
How can I access the Facebook communities?
Are there any guidelines or policies I should be aware of as a member and partner of Holistic Iowa?
Yes! Our Membership / Partner Agreement is as follows:
1. Profile Content Guidelines:
- Accuracy: Members should provide accurate and truthful information in their profiles, including business details and contact information.
- Professionalism: Professionalism and respectful behavior in profile descriptions, images, and any content posted on any Holistic Iowa platform is required.
2. Content Posting Guidelines:
- Relevance: Content posted by members, such as articles, event listings, and discussions, should be relevant to the holistic, wellness, and spiritual industry.
- Respectful Language: We maintain the highest expectations of members / providers against hate speech, harassment, discrimination, or any form of offensive language.
- Copyright: Members should not post copyrighted material without proper permission and attribution.
3. Code of Conduct:
- Respect: Providers shall use respectful and supportive interactions among members, the general audience of Holistic Iowa, and Holistic Iowa staff. Disagreements are acceptable, but they should be handled with civility and respect.
- Inclusivity: We support an inclusive and diverse community where members from all backgrounds and belief systems are welcome.
- Non-Promotion: Excessive self-promotion in discussions or comments and in the Facebook groups is inappropriate. Direct advertising should be done through appropriate channels. Please aim to connect and support rather than sell.
4. Privacy and Data Protection:
- Data Privacy: Members’ personal information is protected; Holistic Iowa complies with relevant data protection laws.
- Consent: Members should obtain proper consent before adding someone to a mailing list or sharing their contact information.
5. Membership and Subscription Policies:
- Membership Termination: A membership may be terminated upon violations of guidelines, fraudulent activities, or non-payment of fees.
- Refund Policy: Because you have full access to benefits, spaces, and information immediately upon activing membership, refunds will not be given. If you wish to cancel your membership, you may do so with the understanding that you will not receive a refund and you will no longer be billed after your current billing cycle.

We offer a range of support and resources to help you succeed:
- Profile Setup Assistance: We provide guidance and assistance to help you set up your provider profile, ensuring it showcases your services, products, or events effectively.
- Visibility and Exposure: By joining Holistic Iowa, you gain access to a platform that actively promotes your offerings. Our website is designed to attract visitors interested in holistic and wellness services, boosting your visibility. We also utilize regular email, social media, and content marketing with an emphasis on featuring providers’ knowledge and offerings. Beyond event, clubs/groups, and provider listings, you have the option of submitting articles (guest blog posts) and useful and relevant social media posts to be shared with our audience.
- Community Engagement: Connect with holistic, wellness, and spiritual enthusiasts (potential clients and customers!) across Iowa through our main Facebook group.
- Event Promotion: If you host events or workshops, you can list them on our platform, increasing your event’s reach and attendance.
- Resource Sharing: Share your expertise by posting articles, posts, guides, or other resources relevant to your field. This establishes you as an authority in your niche.
- Business Resources: We offer education and training opportunities, as well as tips and strategies in our Provider Library to help you nurture your business, promote your services effectively, and serve your guests.

How can I track the performance of my listings on Holistic Iowa?
You can use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics paired with your own website. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how providers can set this up:
1. Sign Up for Google Analytics: Providers should sign up for a Google Analytics account if they don’t already have one. They can visit the Google Analytics website (https://analytics.google.com) and follow the registration process.
2. Create a Property (Website) in Google Analytics: After signing in to their Google Analytics account, providers should create a new property for their own website. They will receive a unique tracking code snippet.
3. Install the Tracking Code: Providers should then take the tracking code snippet generated by Google Analytics and add it to the HTML code of their own website. Typically, this involves placing the code just before the closing </head> tag on every page of their website.
4. Set Up Goals (Optional): Providers can set up specific goals within Google Analytics to track actions taken by visitors from Holistic Iowa, such as signing up for a newsletter, contacting them, or making a purchase.
5. Analyze Referral Traffic: Google Analytics provides a ‘Referrals’ report that shows the websites or sources sending traffic to their site. Providers can access this report to see how much traffic is coming from Holistic Iowa.

Is my membership renewable or does it expire after a certain period?
Your membership auto-renews each month. It only stops if you cancel your membership.
Can I cancel my membership with Holistic Iowa if needed?
Of course, at any time. When you cancel your membership, you will still have access until the end of your current billing cycle. If you decide to come back after cancelling, you can join back up at any time! Cancel your membership using the instructions found here:

GreenGeeks (Website Hosting Provider):
- Secure Hosting: We host our website on GreenGeeks, a reputable hosting provider known for its commitment to environmental responsibility and website security. GreenGeeks employs advanced security measures to protect our website and member data.
- SSL Encryption: We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to secure data transmission between your browser and our website. This encryption ensures that any information you enter, such as contact details, remains confidential and protected from third-party interception.
- Regular Backups: We perform regular backups of our website data to prevent data loss and ensure the availability of your information.
AWeber (Email Marketing Program):
- Privacy Compliance: AWeber is a trusted email marketing platform that complies with international data protection regulations, including GDPR and CAN-SPAM Act. Your email address and communication preferences are handled with care and in accordance with these laws.
- Opt-In Only: We only send emails to members who have explicitly opted in to receive communications from us. You have full control over your subscription preferences and can unsubscribe at any time.
- Secure Communication: AWeber uses industry-standard email encryption protocols to protect the content of our email communications, ensuring that your messages remain private.
MemberSpace (Membership Provider):
- User Authentication: MemberSpace is a secure membership management platform that employs user authentication and password protection to ensure that only authorized members have access to our exclusive content and resources.
- Data Encryption: MemberSpace encrypts sensitive member data, such as login credentials and payment information, to prevent unauthorized access and protect your privacy.
- Data Retention Control: We have control over data retention settings within MemberSpace, allowing us to specify how long we retain your data and when it is deleted.
- Transparent Privacy Policies: MemberSpace follows strict privacy policies and guidelines, and they are committed to maintaining the privacy and security of member information.
Embedded Community Box (Provider Directory)
Community Box does not store any data on your device. Community Box monitors activity in, and uploads to, Boxes. This is both to ensure there are no violations of the Terms and Conditions, or in order to comply with requests from law enforcement or other authorised government agencies. Community Box stores any data that is necessary for the display and processing of a Box (e.g., the box contents themselves, and any settings or customisations that have been made to the Boxes). They also store your contact details so that they can get in touch with you for purposes in connection with the business. They also store usage metrics in order for their internal teams to improve the Community Box experience. Community Box is committed to your privacy and does not share data with any 3rd parties, except in the case of requests from law enforcement and other authorised government agencies. Your data is stored and processed in the form of reports, and real-time monitoring and metrics. These are used internally within their company to allow them to improve our services so they can improve the Community Box user experience. If you wish to obtain copies of any data they store about you, or for them to erase that data (note that this would imply terminating your account in the Provider Directory), then you can email
